Indigo

Indigo is an artist led informal collaboration of eight Central Otago artists.

It presents a model of a group of artists with differing practices working together to curate their own shows in such a way as to allow a narrative to develop between the works.

All members live in Central Otago and a variety of responses to place may be viewed in their work.

This can range from an emotional response to the landscape, flora and fauna, environmental concerns, reflections on the history of the area to sociological considerations of place.

The artists who comprise Indigo are Luke Anthony, Judy Cockeram, Rachel Hirabayashi, Shaun Burdon, Megan Huffadine, Jillian Porteous, Nigel Wilson and Lynne Wilson.

Their work covers a range of media including ceramics, painting, sculpture and mixed media.
