Floral Ecologies

Floral Ecologies celebrates the therapeutic nature of flowers and the introduction of early domestic photography, documenting a progression from studios to intimate outdoor floral microcosms. As cameras became more accessible for everyday people, it became common to favour exterior spaces over studios. Floral Ecologies incorporates local archival imagery, Museum objects and collected artworks.

Usual opening times: Tuesday to Friday 10:00am - 4:00pm. Weekends and public holidays including Waitangi Day and Matariki 1:30pm - 4:00pm. Closed Mondays (unless a public holiday).
