Washing and motherhood embody the power and presence of my tīpuna. Kei te Haere Ahau is a solo exhibition by contemporary Kāi Tahu, Kāti Mamoe, Pākēhā ringatoi Caitlin Rose Donnelly.

Floral Ecologies

12 Apr 2025 Floral Ecologies celebrates the therapeutic nature of flowers and the introduction of early domestic photography, documenting a progression from studios to intimate outdoor floral microcosms. As cameras became more accessible for everyday people, it became common to favour exterior spaces over studios. Floral Ecologies incorporates local archival imagery, Museum objects and collected artworks.

He Pounamu Ko Āu

12 Apr 2025 Filmed entirely in Te Waipounamu, Tia Barrett’s (Waitaha, Ngāti Māmoe, Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Tamainupō, Ngāti Maniapoto, Waikato) He Pounamu Ko Āu (2022) explores wahine Māori identity and channels whakapapa through moving image, pounamu pūrākau (storytelling), mōteatea (sung poetry) and sound. Barrett’s mahi toi instils the importance of celebrating and preserving Te Ao Māori.
